The Honorable Steven G. Papermaster served two terms in the White House as Committee Chair of the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST). PCAST, as part of the Executive Office, directly advises the President on strategy and policy in areas of innovation, technology, and science. Other members on the board with Steve were:

He also co-chaired and/or worked as a member of the Energy Committee, National Nanotechnology Committee, Innovation Ecosystems Committee, Personalized Medicine/Healthcare IT Committee, Education Committee, and others.
Steve worked closely with Congress, federal and state agencies, international counterparts, and the private sector. He also served as a judge for the White House Fellows, one of America’s most prestigious programs for leadership and public service. Panel participants included Padmasree Warrier, Sandy Gottesman, and Dr. Theresa Lozano Long.
